Maria LC Salomão-Schmidt, who now owns Brick House Realty, represented a new breed of women business owners at the time shortly after 9-11, and along with Andrea Lyons of the former Goddess Granola came to me to help them get their new enterprise off the ground. Being of Portuguese descent, Maria wanted her brand to reflect the attitude of her early global traveling ancestors, who took great risks making a journey through uncharted waters, and against an uncertain atmosphere of business, by providing her customers with courage, ideas and resources to survive in it.
