The following outline the tasks provided to increase a site's visibility during a six-month period:
Overview
A 6-month site marketing campaign allows for observation of the behavior of traffic to and from the site during economic and seasonal climate changes, as adjustments are made to its content and with improvements to optimize it for search engines.
A report is generated at the end of each month that provides an overview of the previous month’s statistics for the site, our previously stated intentions, a summary of their results, and finally suggesting additional tasks and intent to implement improved methods to market the site.
Root Folder Clean Up
If a site has been online for several years, its web folder often have files that are no longer being utilized as part of your web site function, yet they still could attract the attention of users that find those files through their listings found at search engines. To avoid, customers discovering out-dated materials and information that is no longer valid or true, an effort to remove all these old files will be made. In doing so, it will make the efforts to monitor the site much easier by evaluating only important statistic data on active files.
Keyword and Meta Tag Analysis
There will be a page-by-page evaluation of the site’s existing keywords and meta tags, beginning with the home page, assessing their value on page titles, meta tag, and use on the content within the page and ALT tags.
To supplement our study, we will be asking you to evaluate the keywords you currently have listed at the site and consider additional and new keywords and key phrases to implement.
Site Rank Analysis
At the initiation of the campaign, a note will be made where your site is ranked at Google, Yahoo, Bing and other major search engines based on keywords already found at the site.
Each monthly report will provide updated site ranking as listed using the existing and new keywords.
Statistics Tracking and Analysis
The statistics that are provided by your host provider will be pulled for analysis and there will be an evaluation on the effectiveness of the keywords and campaign, and summarily suggestions for improvements will be presented.
If a statistics application is not running on the server that hosts the site, then a request will be made to have one installed or simply activated.
The goal is to note changes that occur due to event specific and content generated influences, so that positive actions can continue and evolve and negative results can be discontinued.
The statistics are included the reports at the end of the month.
Google Analytics Set up, Tracking and Analysis
To supplement the statistics provided by the host server, the site will be set up with Google Analytics code, allowing Google to track the traffic referred from and to searches initialized at their site. Though the statistics are nearly similar to the host server, it provides incredibly intuitive report vital to the campaign.
Content Creation to Focus on Specific Keywords
To increase the volume of traffic referred from Google and other search engines, employing cross-market keywords will be suggested for the creation of new pages and content for the site. The more pages the search engines discover, the more valuable the site becomes and the higher it will rank.
Once again, the goal is to give the site a diversity of keywords for search engines to discover for cross-marketing purpose by creating new pages containing keyword-rich, timeless and contemporary content.
One of the best ways to generate content and utilize keywords currently being used and new is to generate a monthly newsletter, promote new products and services on a regular basis, publish press releases, post articles that educate and inform your clients.
There will be suggestion for at least one effort a month to generate new content.
Site Networking
Referrals are made not from search engines alone, but from many other different portals as well. Using the statistics it will be establish where people are being referred from to the site and see if we can capitalize on already valuable referring non-search engine networks.
Each month a minimum of three network connections through reciprocal linking, off-site publication of articles, press releases and other marketing campaigns.
Suggestions for a Google Adwords Campaign
As the campaign to improve visibility on the Internet begins and after the keyword analysis for the home page has been completed, then Google Adwords may be recommended. Although, not necessary, it has been proven to increase traffic, up to 40% for our customers. Although, costs are attributed, a monthly budget could be established until its effectiveness has been proven. If your basic site marketing campaign is successful, then Google Adwords will not be considered.
