IAMTEEJAY is constantly striving to discover new products and services, improving the way it helps business market themselves both on and offline. Let us share with you our discoveries that may benefit your business today!
Web site development projects are broken down into three separate phases, creating three distinct milestones at which a certain amount of work is accepted and paid for. Each milestone is set up to ensure your satisfaction with the work before moving on to the next and by doing so the final results of the web site development project will be a favorable one. You are not committed to the next milestone if you feel that the project’s efforts are not going in your favor, and may discontinue using my services at that point in time without further expense. If a project is halted then you will get a copy of all the work performed up unto that point on a compact disc (CD-R) for your records and future reference. All milestone payments are non-refundable.
FIRST MILESTONE Acceptance of Project / Site Map Development / Composition Design Stage
Upon acceptance of project, signing of purchase order, and a deposit payment being made, your project will then commence and begin with the development of a site map, which describes the categories and content needs of your site. To create this site map, the Project Manager will ask you to describe your web site and the content you plan to have within an MS Word document, generally listing a category name and a brief description of its content.
The Project Manager will then ask you to refer me to three sites that you like and three sites that you dislike, asking you to pay attention to layout, navigation, colors, fonts and other elements that substantiate the basis of your attraction or distraction to these references.
Using these references and commentary, the Designers will develop three home page sketches, and unlike a brand identity development project, they will be designed one at a time, and each sketch maturing over the previous, through commentary and review.
After review of the third sketch, the Project Manager will take all the commentary and artwork developed up to that point and the Designers will develop a composition, which with one more review and one more set of changes will be made, subsequently creating the final look and feel of the home page for your new site.
Using the home page design as a model, 3 sub-pages sketches will also be developed, designed one at a time, and each sketch maturing over the previous, through commentary and review.
After review of the third sketch, the Project Manager will take all the commentary and artwork developed up to that point and the Designers will create a composition, which with one more review and one more set of changes will be made, to create the final look and feel of the sub-page for your new site.
When you have accepted the site map, the home page composition and the sub-page composition, then the project will have reached the second milestone and the 2nd payment will be due before work can commence again.
Time Line: 1-2 Weeks Cost: 1/3 of Total Cost (Initial down payment upon acceptance of project)
SECOND MILESTONE Acceptance of Composition / Production Stage
Now that the architecture has been laid out in the site map, and the designs described in the compositions, we are ready to put the site together. Using the site map, you will need to create a document, that reflects each of the categories laid out in the site map, and place your verbiage content underneath their appropriate headings. Allthough IAMTEEJAY provides content management services, it is not responsible for any copyediting or copy writing. Summarily, all images that will submitted to be used on the site, with the exception of graphics resulting from the compositional development, must be placed in folders named so that they also reflect the categories laid out in the site map. Like with copy, although IAMTEEJAY provides digital photography, color balancing and general image editing services, I am not responsible for the quality of the images provided. This content is to be submitted on compact disc (CD-R) and delivered to me before production is to begin.
During production all content and site programming are implemented into the newly designed layout and graphic interface and tested for functionality and ease of navigation. During this phase of the project, the Production Team will not make the work-in-progress available for review.
Any new content submitted after production begins will be accepted under certain special conditions, but will mostly be implemented after the project is completed and may incur additional charges.
At the conclusion of production, a beta version of the site will be published at an undisclosed location for review and testing. One set of changes, minor adjustments and additions to the site will be allowed after the beta has been thoroughly reviewed.
Time Line: 2-3 Weeks Cost: 1/3 of Total Cost
THIRD AND FINAL MILESTONE Completion of Project & Delivery
Once final set of changes have been made and accepted, a final payment is due before the site is activated and published, “live” to the World Wide Web.
