A Website for French/American Author, Adventuress, and Astrologer Suzanne White

I thoroughly enjoyed developing the SuzanneWhite.com website that pushes the boundaries of Business Catalyst, my favorite CMS platform. SuzanneWhite.com uses the e-commerce features while also utilizing the Business Catalyst database and web app development tools. At SuzanneWhite.com you can learn about your Western and Chinese Astrological Signs. The site also demonstrates how Suzanne White's book, The New Astrology™ , combines Western Astrology and Chinese Astrology to create 144 new signs. We developed a tool to allow a single entry of your birthdate to pull your New Astrology™ Sign. And if you want to see more, you can come back daily for your Daily Double New Astrology™ horoscope, generated by daily client database entries made through an easy-to-use site administration interface.

Whew! It has been a busy summer! As we head into the final months of 2017 I would like to start sharing some of our recent launches. Starting with  Kremco is a Phoenix, Arizona-based business-to-business sales company, in the manufacturing industry. Kremco represents Controlled Dynamics, a Grafton, Wisconsin-based company manufacturing precision engineered structural aluminum products.

Google Business Listings and Fake Reviews

Sadly it happens to all of us, we get a bad review on the quality of our customer service and or products we sell. After 24 years in business I was bound to have a few bad reviews from legitimate clients with whom I didn't see eye-to-eye with on a project of theirs. However, in the era of "fake news" we also have fake reviews. I have been busy helping my clients remove unwarranted, malicious, and negative reviews from users that have never used their services or purchased their products from their Yelp, Facebook and Google profiles. Sadly this week, it was my business' turn to contest a slew of one-star reviews from users with questionable or no profile at all.  With their profiles gone, their reviews continue to still be listed and it may be affecting my business significantly. What to do?

Get Your SSL Certificate for Your Website Today!

Yes, this seems like some sales pitch from a used car salesman trying to sell you something you don’t need. But like air conditioning is essential for a car in Arizona, so is SSL for your website if want to rank well on the Google search engine.

Websites for Medical and Holistic Centers

At  IAMTEEJAY, I take pride in the relationships I build with my collaborators and clients. Dr. Varshini Soobiah, owner of the Los Angeles-based, holistic wellness, integrative medicine practice Quantum Clinic, was having a little trouble having her site developed by another agency. After six-months of being unable to launch a website, she was referred to me through Laurie Dworsky, to see if I can help resolve her issues with her other developers. Laurie is Los Angeles-base graphic designer, with whom I have been collaborating on website development projects dating back to 2004.

Logo Design for Small Business

I have been doing graphic and web design for over 23 years, getting my start designing show posters for my own band and other bands in the Salt Lake City music scene. Of course, every band needs a cool logo, which subsequently led me to designing logos for individuals and small businesses. I have designed and deployed over 100 brand identities, brand names, company and corporate logos since I got into this business. And even after 10 year, more than 20 of them are still in use, an indication that their designs may be timeless. However, it seems like it's time for some fresh ideas.

SSL: Not Just for E-commerce, Database or Member-driven Websites Anymore

The web is experiencing another growth-spurt/growth-pain moment. Late last year, Google, in an attempt to make the web a safer place, introduced an algorithm that seeks out the SSL certificates of websites.  This Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a standardized protocol that allows for a secure and private session between you and the website you are viewing. This Spring Google announced that they will begin favoring sites that use SSL in their search engine.  By default, penalizing sites that don’t.

Musicians as Website Hosts, Programmers, Designers, and Developers

People always ask me how I got started in this business. Well, it all started with music back in the early 90‘s. My little brother, Glen “Alex” Joel's band Mirror Mirror and my band Poink were performing live and recording under the Site 51 label. The Site 51 name is the birth-child of Alex and his wife Rachel Joel (seen in the photo above) and inspired by their enthusiasm for the paranormal, conspiracy theories, and "The X-files."

Website for a Psychologist - A Clean Design for a Piece of Mind

Dr. Peter Maduro, a client since 2004, finally accepted that his Flash site was no longer serving his online marketing needs. In preparation for building him a new site, I asked him to refer me to another psychologist website which had a design, layout and functionality that he felt could best represent him. His reference site turned out to be an excellent choice as a model for us to design his own new website.
