Logo Design for Small Business

Logo Design for Small Business

I have been doing graphic and web design for over 23 years, getting my start designing show posters for my own band and other bands in the Salt Lake City music scene. Of course, every band needs a cool logo, which subsequently led me to designing logos for individuals and small businesses. I have designed and deployed over 100 brand identities, brand names, company and corporate logos since I got into this business. And even after 10 year, more than 20 of them are still in use, an indication that their designs may be timeless. However, it seems like it's time for some fresh ideas.

The Pub at Chino Hills’ Website Gets a Gastro Pub-style Facelift

The Pub at Chino Hills was utilizing a recently developed WordPress site to market themselves. Unfortunately, they found it cumbersome to use when trying to maintain and update their site. Not only, were they unable to keep the content on the site active, the site was also not responsive and their visibility suffered on search engine rankings.

Time to Fall in Love and Dance Your Life Away

After discovering and appreciating my work with Andrea Cagan’s website, Carole Greenbaum came to me with a need to develop a site to promote her book, “The Forever Deal”. “The Forever Deal” is an inspiring story for anyone who has suffered loss through death, divorce or the simple demise of a once sturdy love affair. Carole is the epitome of grace as she picks herself up and ventures back into the world of relationships.

Good Things Come in Three, at Need Three

After a successful collaboration deploying a website for Barrel House 101 of Ventura with Need Three, strategic partner Eugene Bustillos brings to my studio his Los Angeles customers The Pub at Chino Hills, and two new restaurants Souk Shawarma and Sucre. The Pub needs a revamp of its static, non-responsive WordPress website while the other two need new websites to launch their businesses. Need Three will be providing all the design, and I will be developing and publishing the websites on the Business Catalyst platform.

Need a Venice Beach, CA AirBnB in the Abbot Kinney Community?

Need a Venice Beach, CA AirBnB in the Abbot Kinney Community?

Jeremy Kidd, my former business partner, with Digidome Designs, has chosen to share his beautiful Venice Beach home for those in need of a fully furnished and beautiful accommodation with an artistic mix of upscale, modern furniture. Though still his personal home, he does offer the location for rental to a limited number of visitors per year. You get the privacy, generous space and comforts of a house for the price of an upscale hotel room. With this said, and though he has it listed at many AirBnB-type listing websites, he made the decision to market it through a website dedicated to his property rental. For expedition-sake, appeal, and Jeremy’s preferences the site takes on the look and style of his artist site jeremykidd.com. Both sites utilize the Business Catalyst platform. Check out this Venice Beach AirBnB rental property and consider booking it the next time you have business or leisure time in Los Angeles.

Graphic Design for a Coupon Magazine in Marin Country

It has been a very long time since I took on a print and graphic design project of this magnitude, but what better way to get to know your community and the businesses within. Melissa Greenberg came to me with a need to help her design her next edition of the Finest Coupons of Marin Magazine. With a collection of 22-pages and 33 advertising customers, I will manage and update the ads from a previous issue, collect instructions for new ads from new customers, put together the spread using PhotoShop, Illustrator and InDesign, collect review and approvals from clients, and submit the final product to the printers. For the first time in many years, there is not a single line of code involved - a breath of fresh air.

Local Client, National Client, Corporate Client

Local Client, National Client, Corporate Client

I am very pleased to announce the launch of Pacific Coast Chemical Company’s new website. The company, based out of Berkeley, with 17 locations across the country, had been using a very expensive and out dated online database service that was costing them an insubordinate amount of money on a monthly basis. By providing them with a site which offers not only what they had before, but also the commerce-ability at a fraction of the cost on the Business Catalyst platform, we couldn’t be happier. At the completion of the project, and after providing my free 1-hour admin training services to their staff, they are managing the site on their own with success. Not having to provide any additional services tells me that I have completely fulfilled the client’s needs. I have done this before with Job Journal’s* Job Resource and HireEvents sites. This doesn’t make me sad, or less successful, but it does make me feel proud that I did the job right.
