Website for a Psychologist - A Clean Design for a Piece of Mind

Dr. Peter Maduro, a client since 2004, finally accepted that his Flash site was no longer serving his online marketing needs. In preparation for building him a new site, I asked him to refer me to another psychologist website which had a design, layout and functionality that he felt could best represent him. His reference site turned out to be an excellent choice as a model for us to design his own new website.

Los Angeles Rental Studio Goes Responsive

I have been doing business with Anthony Nex since 2006, starting with the development of his photography site, which led to his wife’s Kristine Nex’s set stylist business, and ending with a site for his rental studio location in Los Angeles, the Helms Daylight Studio located in the historical Helms Bakery building complex.

Steven is Back with Two Clients to Start Off 2016!

Steven Shmerler of SASNet Design and I have been doing business together since the day of the “dot.com” boom, surviving its bust, and thriving in a post-recession period where we collectively pool our resources and efforts to provide his clients with the tools they need to effectively market themselves on and offline. Today he brings to me two clients that we will be designing and developing websites for. The first client is Sundahl Waterproofing, in business for 15 years and primarily serving the Westchester and Southern Connecticut areas. Sundahl's primary business is residential basement waterproofing, foundation and crack repair, mold and mildew remediation, plus commercial application of same for existing and new buildings and homes. The second client is the type of client Steven and I have much experience with, the Hollywood Hills West Neighborhood Council (HHWNC). The HHWNC is a community organization that provides a link between city government and residents. Sundahl will be getting a new site on the Business Catalyst platform, while the HHWNCwill be upgrading their Drupal-based website to be responsive and include a fresh new look.

Set Stylist Continues to Market Using Business Catalyst’s Email Campaign Module in 2016

Last year Kristine Nex came to me with a mailing list of over 5,000 subscribers and needed a service to deliver her “shout-out” to her database of subscribers to promote her business in the new year. One problem though, her website service didn’t have an effective email campaign delivery system. With her husband, Anthony Nex having his Helms Daylight Studio site on the Business Catalyst platform that come with one, but not being used, we essential borrowed the service for her marketing needs. After creating an email template that matches Kristine’s brand at her site, we masked her deliveries as though it was coming from her site. Not only is the Helms Daylight Studio website managing the subscriber and email campaign database, it is also receiving all off of the traffic coming through site from Kristine’s marketing efforts. I consider this a double marketing whammy, with traffic for both businesses, and all for one low subscription price. Though Kristine’s subscription count has now surpassed the default 5,000 free-subscription deliveries per month, Business Catalyst does offers a 10,000 count bump at a very affordable $5 per month, as needed. With 2016 in front of us, so is the list of emails set to be delivered automatically on their specified dates, while the system manages the subscriber list hands-free.

Getting it Right in 2016!

Regina Clark came to me back in 2013 to have a website developed for her high-energy speaking, just as I was mastering my abilities to develop fully responsive websites. Implementing a mobile redirect to a mobile-friendly portion of her website, I was able to provide Regina with an effective website to help her with the marketing of her business. However, Regina has returned to me after taking a 1-year hiatus from her business, with a new company and brand identity. Having already served her recently, I offered a lower rate to revamp the design of the site and make it fully responsive this time around. Her site is on the Business Catalyst platform, utilizing its CMS , Blog and Email Marketing services. So, not only will she enhance her brand and expand her services, I will get to develop her site to meet today’s technological needs to effectively market itself on the Internet.

Let’s Do This Again for Renewable Energy Consultant Peter Asmus

After providing services to refocus the SEO, set-up Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools at Google and Bing for his partner’s site KT's Kitchen under his SquareSpace.com account, Peter Asmus felt it was safe to have a multi-page site addressed for improved visibility and marketability. Peter’s site has multi-pronged marketing intentions, promoting his services at the company he works at, Navigant Research, the company he runs, Pathfinder Communications, and the services he offers as an independent renewable energy research analyst, consultant and writer.

Flash is NOT Good for Your Site Anymore, So Let's Move

Having built a simple, beautiful Flash site for Maxine’s Bridal shop in Stockton in 2005 I had to continuously remind them to allow me to revamp their site from the archaic Flash-base platform to a more contemporary HTML5, CSS3 and J-Query-driven platform. The trick came when they needed to update their site to reflect the business move to a new location and we couldn’t do it with ease. I set them up on the Business Catalyst platform, where I developed a fully responsive, brochure-style website that reflects all the services and products they offered at their new location in Stockton. After the completion of the site I provided my 1-hour of free admin training. The training along with the site being out of the Flash element, enabled the client to apply changes to their content on their own. I provide the 1-hour of free Business Catalyst admin support, just in case the updates are far and few between, to help them remember the basics.

Los Angeles Ballet Celebrates Their 10th Anniversary

Los Angeles Ballet is celebrating the inauguration of their 10th season, and guess who has been with them since day one? I am forever grateful to Catherine Kanner, whom I was introduced to by my former partner in business, Jeremy Kidd at the Otis College of Art & Design in Los Angeles in 2000. With Catherine being the Los Angeles Ballet’s Design Director, I was fortunate to have her acquaintance from the very beginning. Over the years we would collaborated to design, develop and market the Los Angeles Ballet and its two sub-organizations of the School and Summer Course

Introducing the California Drought Report with a Solution for Your Irrigation Needs

Frank Simonelli has been referring work to me for over 15-years now and I am forever grateful! This time he referred Galcon, Inc ., an Israel-based company that offers water conservation solutions through the use of their Cyber Rain water irrigation solutions and products. To follow up with their successful “Tell the Cloud” marketing campaign, they had me design, develop and deliver the components for their “California Drought Report” campaign. Setting up a three-pronged theme concept an email marketing campaign, I designed three templates for the email and their respective attached PDFs which mirror the content within the email itself.
