Get Your SSL Certificate for Your Website Today!

Yes, this seems like some sales pitch from a used car salesman trying to sell you something you don’t need. But like air conditioning is essential for a car in Arizona, so is SSL for your website if want to rank well on the Google search engine.

Websites for Medical and Holistic Centers

At  IAMTEEJAY, I take pride in the relationships I build with my collaborators and clients. Dr. Varshini Soobiah, owner of the Los Angeles-based, holistic wellness, integrative medicine practice Quantum Clinic, was having a little trouble having her site developed by another agency. After six-months of being unable to launch a website, she was referred to me through Laurie Dworsky, to see if I can help resolve her issues with her other developers. Laurie is Los Angeles-base graphic designer, with whom I have been collaborating on website development projects dating back to 2004.

SSL: Not Just for E-commerce, Database or Member-driven Websites Anymore

The web is experiencing another growth-spurt/growth-pain moment. Late last year, Google, in an attempt to make the web a safer place, introduced an algorithm that seeks out the SSL certificates of websites.  This Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a standardized protocol that allows for a secure and private session between you and the website you are viewing. This Spring Google announced that they will begin favoring sites that use SSL in their search engine.  By default, penalizing sites that don’t.

Website for a Psychologist - A Clean Design for a Piece of Mind

Dr. Peter Maduro, a client since 2004, finally accepted that his Flash site was no longer serving his online marketing needs. In preparation for building him a new site, I asked him to refer me to another psychologist website which had a design, layout and functionality that he felt could best represent him. His reference site turned out to be an excellent choice as a model for us to design his own new website.

Here at IAMTEEJAY, we use Business Catalyst as the foundation for our clients' websites with substantial content management and content creation needs. Allow me to share some additional insight into what the tool is and what it can be used for:

Building a Website for a Los Angeles Building Contractor

John Stone, Owner of STONE Construction Company in Los Angeles, CA came to me to build a new Business Catalyst website to boost his brand name recognition and improve the visibility of his company in search engines.  As an integral part of his new site, catering to John's need to maintain a gallery of work himself, I developed a great tool using the Business Catalyst WebApps framework.  The customized Web App will allow him the control to easily create, maintain, update and catalog his portfolio of before, during and after photography so visitors can see some of the amazing home remodels and commercial developments he's completed for his clients.

Wheel Concept Rolls in with a New E-Commerce Website Request

In collaboration with strategic partner, Dan McNulty of MC Brand Studios, I welcome new client Michael Horowitz from Wheel Concepts of Camarillo, CA to the studios of IAMTEEJAY. Wheel Concepts has been the industry leader in decorative chrome plating for the automotive and aftermarket wheel industries. Since 1977, they've been providing both chrome-plated and OEM alloy wheels and wheel accessories across the US and internationally. One of the keys to their success is having their inventory readily searchable in their vast factory OEM Core Bank consisting of thousands of wheels. Unfortunately, their current website on the WordPress platform with its WooCommerce plugin has become defunct and inoperable.  They have requested a better solution for their online sales and marketing needs.

Episcopal Impact Fund: A Website Design for Yet Another Bay Area Non-Profit Organization

My most recent non-profit project was with The Episcopal Impact Fund, formerly known as Episcopal Charities. The Episcopal Impact Fund focuses on the root causes of poverty in the areas of Education, Health and Wellness and the Environment. Inspired by the teachings of the gospel, they share a vision of a world without poverty. They support organizations that are located within the geographic region of the Diocese of California, the Episcopal Church in the San Francisco Bay Area both financially and through mentorship and guidance.

A Website for These Political Times

It has been a crazy election year with much ado and fear to go around. With that said, my client Eileen McDargh, Award-winning author, CEO of The Resiliency Group, and her colleagues, Aspen Baker and Charlotte Ashlock, decided that they needed a True Leader Creed.

Going Green with a Website for an Environmentally-conscience Community

Thanks to Tony Carlson of Tech-Hero and Amanda Platt of California Association of Resource Conservation Districts, I have had the privilege of designing and developing a website for the Elk Grove Greener Gardens Project a few years back. After 5 years of assisting them with the maintenance of and updates to the site to showcase their annual Greener Gardens Tour, I have been able to improve upon my initial efforts so that these updates are made with much less effort.
