Dr. Peter Maduro, a client since 2004, finally accepted that his Flash site was no longer serving his online marketing needs. In preparation for building him a new site, I asked him to refer me to another psychologist website which had a design, layout and functionality that he felt could best represent him. His reference site turned out to be an excellent choice as a model for us to design his own new website.

My most recent non-profit project was with The Episcopal Impact Fund, formerly known as Episcopal Charities. The Episcopal Impact Fund focuses on the root causes of poverty in the areas of Education, Health and Wellness and the Environment. Inspired by the teachings of the gospel, they share a vision of a world without poverty. They support organizations that are located within the geographic region of the Diocese of California, the Episcopal Church in the San Francisco Bay Area both financially and through mentorship and guidance.

Los Angeles Rental Studio Goes Responsive

I have been doing business with Anthony Nex since 2006, starting with the development of his photography site, which led to his wife’s Kristine Nex’s set stylist business, and ending with a site for his rental studio location in Los Angeles, the Helms Daylight Studio located in the historical Helms Bakery building complex. The site has enjoyed a simplistic layout for over 8 years, but has had to be updated several times to accommodate the changes in web technology. Today, I launched a fully responsive Helms Daylight Studio website on the Business Catalyst platform. The platform offers a robust set of tools that enable its customers to not only effectively market their business, but also maintain their site on their own. Additionally, Anthony uses the Email Campaign services, already included with his subscription, to send out Email Campaign blasts for not just his business, but also Kristine’s.

Set Stylist Continues to Market Using Business Catalyst’s Email Campaign Module in 2016

Last year Kristine Nex came to me with a mailing list of over 5,000 subscribers and needed a service to deliver her “shout-out” to her database of subscribers to promote her business in the new year. One problem though, her website service didn’t have an effective email campaign delivery system. With her husband, Anthony Nex having his Helms Daylight Studio site on the Business Catalyst platform that come with one, but not being used, we essential borrowed the service for her marketing needs. After creating an email template that matches Kristine’s brand at her site, we masked her deliveries as though it was coming from her site. Not only is the Helms Daylight Studio website managing the subscriber and email campaign database, it is also receiving all off of the traffic coming through site from Kristine’s marketing efforts. I consider this a double marketing whammy, with traffic for both businesses, and all for one low subscription price. Though Kristine’s subscription count has now surpassed the default 5,000 free-subscription deliveries per month, Business Catalyst does offers a 10,000 count bump at a very affordable $5 per month, as needed. With 2016 in front of us, so is the list of emails set to be delivered automatically on their specified dates, while the system manages the subscriber list hands-free.

Getting it Right in 2016!

Regina Clark came to me back in 2013 to have a website developed for her high-energy speaking, just as I was mastering my abilities to develop fully responsive websites. Implementing a mobile redirect to a mobile-friendly portion of her website, I was able to provide Regina with an effective website to help her with the marketing of her business. However, Regina has returned to me after taking a 1-year hiatus from her business, with a new company and brand identity. Having already served her recently, I offered a lower rate to revamp the design of the site and make it fully responsive this time around. Her site is on the Business Catalyst platform, utilizing its CMS , Blog and Email Marketing services. So, not only will she enhance her brand and expand her services, I will get to develop her site to meet today’s technological needs to effectively market itself on the Internet.
