It was a tough year for our economy, as many of my friends have joined the ranks of the unemployed and a few of my long-time clients have closed their businesses for good. To make it twice as hard for some, it was also a year of great personal loss for my family and close friends. I sometimes wonder if the bad economy itself has caused us all undo stress, poor health, and in some cases, death.

After having personally survived an even more tragic year the year before, I might be able to offer insight on how to look back at 2009 in a more positive manner.

If there is anything that I have learned about surviving a bad situation is that, it is a time where we are offered a chance to change for the better. We are given the opportunity to take a very difficult situation, find the strength to survive it, take our resolve to assess it, and finally have the will to move on. Upon reflection we will notice that we have grown up a little more, matured our soul, and given our spirit a chance to ascend even further.

As we move forward, we must believe that things will get better. We must know that with each challenge we will become stronger and more able to handle tragedy. With each occurrence, we will be able to recognize more and more who our heroes, saints, angels, spirits, friends, family and even God are, as they grace us with the love and support that we need to get through the day and on to the next. Without these setbacks, our souls would never mature and we will forever be trapped in a two-dimensional state of being, never experiencing the true depth and value of the human spirit.

So, I pray that all of you find the strength to let your spirit soar and enjoy 2010 like no other year, for it is the year to rejoice and honor all that has happened as part of our personal ascension.

I thank all those who helped me survive 2008 and allowed me to ascend in 2009.

I thank you, I love you, and I bless you.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
